Don't expect to see MacBook Air sales at Apple's online or physical stores. The closest Apple gets to sales are gift-card bundles for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The company doesn't offer standard discount prices on any of its products.

Apple's official resellers frequently offer discounts on Apple devices, including models of the MacBook Air for sale. Top retailers to watch include Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Adorama, Expercom, Abt, and Tiger Direct.
There are three standard MacBook Air models on sale at Apple right now. The M1 MacBook Air that arrived in November 2020 and two configurations of the 2022 M2 MacBook Air which went on sale in July 2022.
B&H is offering a $100 direct price drop on the entry-level MacBook Air M2, taking it down to $1,099. The retailer offers a neat way to save on sales tax, too, with its own-brand B&H Payboo credit card that gives you the tax back as cash back. On a purchase as large as a MacBook Air, that's a decent chunk of change.
Now that the MacBook Air M1 (2020) is two years old we've seen some bigger and better discounts over the last few months. It has a starting price of $999 / 999 / AU$1,499, but we've already seen it fall to as low as $749 / 899 during large sales events. Outside of this, it's regularly reduced by up to $100 / 100 / AU$200 in most stores.
There were some small savings during Black Friday so look out for discounts of around $200 / 200 to match the previous record lows. However, deals like this aren't likely until some of the bigger sales events later in the year.
If that high price does put you off, the good news is we've seen more discounts than ever before over recent months and some of the lowest prices ever during big sales events such as Black Friday. Just last year you could pick up this model for $749 in the US or 849 in the UK. Outside of these sales, there's usually at least $50 / 50 off the normal price, though it tends to be as high as $100 / 100. And these discounts could be even higher soon now the new M2 MacBook Air is out.
Honestly, there's very little available when it comes to any deals on MacBook Air models pre-2020. We used to see a few cheap MacBook Air laptops from 2019, but these have disappeared from sale over recent months as Apple ceased production and discontinued the device.
The best MacBook Air deals are usually seen around new product launches and holiday sales. Retailers are keen to clear out older stock when a new product comes around, so you can usually save some cash after a major MacBook announcement or release.

MacBook deals have never been better. With Presidents Day sales right around the corner, practically every Mac laptop is on sale right now. That means we're seeing better than average MacBook deals this week.
Amazon and Best Buy tend to offer the best MacBook deals. The MacBook Air M1 and the MacBook Pro M1 tend to see from $50 to $250 off discounts. However, we've noticed that Amazon offers slightly better MacBook sales that its competitors. For instance, the M1 MacBook Air has dropped to $799 a few times at Amazon.
Apple rarely discounts MacBooks and other tech in its own stores or on its website. You'll have more luck hunting for MacBook deals by browsing the latest sales from Amazon and Best Buy, among other retailers. 2ff7e9595c
